The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health plays a pivotal role in governing occupational safety and health, coordinating the roles and responsibilities of relevant entities, and overseeing the implementation of the National Policy for Occupational Safety and Health. It also raises awareness of the importance of occupational safety and health, contributing to the Kingdom’s ambition to become a leading global model in this field.
The development of a national occupational safety and health strategy and a national system for reporting occupational accidents, injuries, and diseases provides further impetus for creating safe and healthy workplaces across the Kingdom. This, in turn, supports the attraction of national and international talent and promotes the application of leading international standards and practices in occupational safety and health.
In light of emerging challenges and developments in the labour market, the Kingdom remains committed to strengthening occupational safety and health as an integral part of Saudi Vision 2030. This contributes to creating a competitive and effective labour market and reinforces the strength and standing of the Kingdom’s economy.
